Wednesday, December 13 was the day our St. Augustine Guild hosted a joyous party for our Residents in Lanagan Hall. Helen Damman and her ‘elves’ decorated tables and set the scene for a ‘rockin’ Christmas party.
The highlight of the afternoon was enjoying the marvelous Guerin High School choir. They sang a variety of memorable Christmas tunes much to the delight of all in attendance who sang along with them. Everyone commented the choir was outstanding.
Guild members served some holiday cheer including egg nog, and beautifully decorated Christmas cakes. Several Residents said the cake was YUMMY.
And yes, there was a surprise Santa Claus who arrived from the North Pole just in time for the Christmas party. The original Santa was out of commission at the last minute and Guild member, Angie Bagnoli’s husband, Jim, volunteered to don the Santa outfit and bring cheer to all. He did a great job handing out Christmas gift bags to all the Residents.
It was a grand party and everyone agreed that the St. Augustine Guild really outdid themselves once again.
Last, but not least, Guild President Debbie Simmons gave Mother Francis Gabriel a check for over $12,000 which were the proceeds from their most successful Christmas Bazaar in November.
‘Tis The Season….
