St. Joseph visited the Residents!
The Year of St. Joseph is going to conclude in two days, December 8, 2021. What a better way to mark this occasion by a visit of St Joseph to our Residents in the Infirmary and Assisted Living units. That was what the community of the Little Sisters in Indianapolis did in the afternoon of the Feast of St. Nicholas. Equipped with a portable speaker and St. Joseph’s hymns, the community of seven LSP started the procession of St. Joseph’s statue, placed on a portable cart decorated with battery-operated candles, from the Front Lobby of the Home and walked on the hallways towards the infirmary units of Lourdes and Fatima.
There were pauses in between as the procession progressed where a Little Sister recited a Prayer to St. Joseph and everybody responded “St. Joseph, pray for us”. As the procession continued, more and more Residents from the independent unit joined the procession and assisted those on the wheelchairs, thus from a few Little Sisters who began the procession, when it was concluded by the Litany of St Joseph in the Chapel of the Home, the numbers grew to more than 20 in number!
St. Joseph, Head of the Family of Nazareth, our Protector and Provider, pray for us who have recourse to Thee. Amen.
