We are thrilled with the positive new directives from both the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) to begin taking steps toward indoor visitation.
This week we will begin indoor visitation in Lanagan Hall during the same visitation window we have been using from 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Moving indoors is a blessing – just in time as the cool weather begins.
While we are very excited to take this next step towards re-opening St. Augustine’s, we wish to reiterate some of the most important requirements when visiting:
• Please do not visit if you have any signs or symptoms that may indicate a COVID infection.
• Please wear a facemask for the duration of your visit and while in Lanagan Hall. They cannot be removed for any reason.
• Please maintain 6 feet social distancing.
• Please use hand sanitizer before entering the Home.
• Visits are limited to ½ hour in order to accommodate as many requests as possible.
It has been difficult and challenging to ask our visitors who do not comply with these requests — thus putting the well-being of our dear Residents at risk — to leave. We cannot take chances and ask you to be 100% compliant with these directives given to us for the good of the Residents.
If you have any special needs or requests, please do not hesitate to ask. These positive steps for indoor visitations brighten everyone’s days.
We are pleased to report that we do not have any cases of COVID-19 among our staff or Residents! Let us continue our winning streak!
God bless you,
Sister Francis Gabriel and all the Little Sisters
